Movie Reviews of Spies Like Us (Snap Case)Movie Review: Good Movie! Summary: 4 Stars
Spies Like Us is a very funny although silly movie. Chevy Chase is in rare form, probably my favorite from him with the exceptions of the original Vacation and Caddyshack. I picked this one up... and didn't really expect a whole lot of extras from it. Good thing because there are no extras on this DVD! While it may not be of the highest quality from the DVD standpoint, it is a very good movie and I'm happy with my purchase.
Movie Review: I enjoyed the movie and I would watch it again. Summary: 4 Stars
I first saw this movie when I was very young, it captures the cold war era with a comedic approach. Chevy and Dan did a great job of protraying two screw-ups who end up being decoy spies without knowing it. After growing up during the Reagan years, I really enjoyed both the saterical look at how we were, and the very short clip of Reagan as an actor. Overall, despite a few slow spots, it was a VERY good movie.
Movie Review: A Great Aykroyd/Chase Comedy Summary: 4 Stars
When Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd are "on" as a team, they are unbeatable. I usually watch this film with my dad and we have seen it well over a dozen times together. We each have our favorite one-liners -- mostly from Chevy. The movie is chock full of great cameos (Frank Oz, Charles McKeown, Vanessa Angel, Terry Gilliam, et. al.) Yes, this is a silly film. But it's a GREAT silly film.
Movie Review: Doctor.... Summary: 4 Stars
This film is great. Chevy Chase and Danny Aykroyd are two fantastic comedic actors and the film follows the traditions of the old Bing Crosby and Bob Hope duo pics. Amazon.com reviewer Marshall Fine is a complete tool. Okay, it's no Animal house- but it's still very funny and entertaining. Don't listen to his fodder, go get the movie yourself!
Movie Review: Funny with many memorable lines and scenes Summary: 4 Stars
Chevy and Dan follow the footsteps of the Bob Hope and Bing Crosby comedies of the 50's (there is even a Bob Hope cameo). Although its script has cookie-cutter predictability, the comedians make laughs left and right. With a reasonable price - you can't loose with this one.
