Movie Reviews of Spider-Man 3 (Two-Disc Special Edition)

Movie Review: Great 3rd Spiderman movie
Summary: 5 Stars

I really enjoyed watching the third installment of the Spiderman series. The plot is great, the animation is outstanding, and the acting is great. Peter Parker's life gets turned around when a black symbiote attaches itself to his suit. The suit enhances his powers, but makes his heart turn dark. Will Spiderman be able to defeat the powers of the black suit?

Movie Review: Great Movie!
Summary: 5 Stars

I thought this movie was awesome, being a huge spiderman fan starting from an early age. I thought this was one of the best spiderman's! Everyone gave it so many bad reviews, but thats bull! It was good and can't wait to see spiderman 4!

Movie Review: Ok Sequel
Summary: 3 Stars

We bought this because we have the first two movies, but they were much better movies than this third one. Not sure I'd buy a fourth if/when they make it.

Movie Review: Parker falls under the influence of his dark side.
Summary: 3 Stars

The third and final installment (allegedly) of the Spiderman movies is all set to tie up all those little loose ends - Peter Parker is finally secure in his role of Spiderman and seeks Mary Jane Watson's hand in marriage ... but, happy endings are only for fairy tales, right? In this installment we are introduced to two newcomers: 1st we meet Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church) who, after escaping from prison stumbles into a particle accelerator and is transformed in to the mighty Sandman. The 2nd new face to this line up is Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) who is in competition with Parker at the Daily Bugle ... more on him later.

The movie starts with a small meteorite crashing in a park where Parker and Mary Jane are on a date and an alien symbiote attaches itself to Parker's moped. Next Enter Sandman Metallica ;-) I mean Flint Marko, who becomes Sandman. Our next scene is of Harry Osborn who is seeking justice for his father's death and attacks our friendly neighborhood wall crawler. Goblin Jr loses and enters a state of amnesia making him forget all about Spidey. After a short celebration we learn that Flint Marko was really the culprit responsible for Uncle Ben's death. Well, Spidey waits by the radio and discovers where the Sandman will strike next.

This is the perfect opportunity to try out that fancy new black costume, don't you think? Well, Parker does and learns that all his Spidey powers are enhanced ... but this also triggers a more violent and spiteful change which results in the near death of Sandman. Mary Jane notices these changes as well, and seeks comfort in the friendly arms of Harry Osborn. Now fully recovered from his memory lose, Osborn uses Mary Jane as bait to get revenge on Spidey - this back fires, though, and leaves Osborn horribly disfigured. Now enters Eddie Brock, who used a false picture of Spidey to advance his career at the Bugle. Parker finds out and humiliates Brock to the point where Brock loses his job.

Parker finally realizes the dark tendencies this new suit offers and disposes of it. At the same time Eddie Brock has learned the errors of his ways and sets out for redemption. Oh, if it were only that simple. I'll leave it there, but this is a fair attempt to recreate the best issues in Spidey's past (The McFarlane series) if you missed the earlier films in the series, I'll list them below:

Movie Review: The Dark side of a City Spider
Summary: 5 Stars

If you have seen the first two prequels of the Amazing Spiderman, then prepare yourself for a sequel treat. This time, we visit the life of Peter Parker (Tobey MaGuire) as he believes his secret life as the web-swing hero of New York is finally becoming manageable and hopes to improve on it. Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) has accepted her role as the web-winger's fianc?, and is preparing her own success story as a Broadway singer. Peter's best friend Harry Osborn and son of the late Green Goblin (James Franco) however, is slowly succumbing to the 'voices' of his father. In addition, there are two new villains, The Sandman (Thomas Church) and Venom (Topher Grace) who are destined to challenged and threaten the Spiderman. If that is not enough, a strange and powerful Symbiote life force arrives from outer space to ensure that Parker's life becomes anything but happy. If you enjoyed the Special Effects of the first two films, you are in for an astonishing visual surprise as this 3rd movie multiples everything you've come to expect. Stan Lee would be proud to be an integral part of the life of his creation. Nuff, said. ****
