Movie Review: Wonderful Show!

I watched this show years ago when it was on tv and I have some of the episodes on DVD. I love it! It is a show that the family can sit down and watch together and at the same time is very enjoyable. I love (and own the DVD's) the original "The Man From Snowy River" and "Return to Snowy River" movies. These DVD's do take a different direction from the movies, but in my opinion, they are just as good and it is nice to follow the story of the MacGregor family through this series. Well worth the money if you love a good clean western.Movie Review: GREAT wholesome entertainment

If you're expecting this to be just like the movies "Man from Snowy River" or "Return to Snowy River" you will be surprised. The place is the same, and the main character is said to be the man from Snowy River. However, this was a TV series that just used the movies as a jumping off spot. The stories are great, covering a variety of topics that dealt with real life in that era, and many that are timeless. It was a time when there was right and wrong, and people cared about each other. this is one of the best sagas i have ever watched i hope everyone watches this is so great Review: Entertaining Australian Western!Summary: 4 Stars I don't know if "western" quite fits the description, but Australia is southwest from the U.S., so western is relative. The episodes I viewed were enjoyable - a pioneer family story. It's also a treat to see Hugh Jackman and Guy Pearce when they were first starting out. The scenery is GORGEOUS! I definitely want to visit Australia's province of Victoria! What makes this pioneer story even better than an American western is this: NO INDIANS GET KILLED! (Naturally, I'm sure the Aborgines weren't treated fairly, but let's not go there for now!)
