Movie Review: A must-have for hardcore SP fans

Most of the material on this DVD is good, though some of the artsy interlude material is kind of silly (who the heck are the Frogs?). The performances are all very good, however, and are definitely the main reason that anyone would purchase this release.With all the original VHS "Vieuphoria" material (which include impressive live and acoutic versions of many "Gish" and "Siamese Dream" hits), a good amount of new material is added, including a longer interview with Virgin Records representative Manny Chevrolet (definitely the most comedically entertaining part of the DVD... it's hard to believe that people like Mr. Chevrolet actually exist, name and all) and an entire concert from the "Siamese Dream" era. All the original performances are good, but probably the best selections are "Soma," the acoustic version of "Cherub Rock," and "Geek USA."
For those who are just becoming SP fans, it's probably a better bet to purchase the "Greatest Hits" DVD or some of their other albums before you decide to get this. If you're a major fan, you'll definitely enjoy this collection.
