Movie Reviews of Slipknot - Disasterpieces

Movie Review: Amazing.... The Greatest DVD of all time
Summary: 5 Stars

This DVD is the most amazing thing ever. Suncoast in the mall sold me a copy on Saturday and I've watched the thing non stop. This mosnter is one of the most advanced and well done DVD's I've ever seen. They use over 30 cameras and have some great footage of every member of the band. The songs are of course amazing. They play fan favorites like Spit It Out, and then they play some of their less mainstream songs like Gently. The pyro is amazing and the crowd is friggin nuts. The whole show is a hundred minutes long when you include the clips of the band setting up. The second disc has tons of extras. It has the performances of The Heretic Anthem and People=S**t with a camera angle for every member of the band. Some of it is in first person view and some of it is normal shots. It's also got another multiple angle song, every music video (Spit It Out, Wait and Bleed, Wait and Bleed Animated, Left Behind Directors cut, and My Plauge Edited version). If you're a maggot or even just a metal fan, you have to get this DVD. You'll love it.

Movie Review: Anger, Wrath, Hate!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This DVD proves that Slipknot is the band that I'd and you would like to see live. They are so great live. They jump and are aggressive on stage. This live concert shows the power that metal has to give for all of us who like the bands like Slipknot. All the songs sound better in this live concert than studio. Corey's voice is so angry. These mask men are truly the 2000's best nu metal group! The music videos are excellent: Spit It Out and Wait And Bleed are animated videos but there's also a live video from "Wait And Bleed".

Summary: 5 Stars

This DVD gives you a taste of what truly makes Slipknot an amazing band. Their wild onstage antics are filled with energy. If you have ever wondered "why the heck do they need 9 members?", this will answer your question. This DVD shows how all 9 members add little pieces to the experience that is Slipknot.

The backstage stuff is great. Getting to watch what they do to get ready for a performance is interesting. I especially liked having all their videos, that had been released at that point, to watch. I hope they release a new DVD that's this good and has the Vermillion and Before I forget videos on it. I'll certainly purchase it when/if it comes out.

Also, this DVD gave me a new understanding of their recent 9.0 live album. I didn't exactly like 9.0 when I first listened. It sounded a bit unrefined and Corey sounded road weary. Getting to see exactly why their live album sounded so different probably added 2 stars to my rating of 9.0.

Movie Review: Disasterpeices=amazing
Summary: 5 Stars

If you have never been to a slipknot concert and dont really wanna get killed in a mosh get disasterpeices it gives you all the in face, rage, moshing, ... amazing fun of a knot concert plus behind the scenes of the band before the show, and all the videos including the song purity off the original album but taken off for legal reasons. If you are a slipknot fan this is a must. I have it and watch it all the time. Its a true maggot staple to your collection. Plus the truly amazing drum solo by drummer 1 Joey Jordison. It is shocking the solo alone is worth getting it. Not to mention the 0 Sid Wilson DJ solo, any maggot will absolutly fall in LOVE with this dvd. I know I did, along with a 30 camera angle, and songs that you can pick with member you want to staple to and watch from a dj to three drummers, two guitar players, and a crazy ... singer this is for you!

Movie Review: You have to see this DVD!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have never had the pleasure of seeing Slipknot live, so I was really exicited about a live DVD coming out. Especially with a whole second disc with a collection of their vidios, some I have never seen before, and the bonus track "purity" thats amazing, I had also never heard before. DTS would have been top of the line sound, but the standard 5.1 does the job fine. I must add how good of a job the music comes across live on this DVD. Sometimes players have a hard time keeping up the hectic pace of their studio work, especially in this field of music, and slipknot not only keep up but play with with more vicious intensity than you hear on the record if you can believe it. Coreys double bass playing is incredibly accurate as ever. You gotta buy this DVD and hear it for your self! Not for the weak hearted. If your 555 then i'm 666! -RockSteady!
