Movie Review: Last Chance To Grab This On Blu-Ray
Summary: 5 Stars
Since silly Paramount were bought out & forced onto poor, dear sad old HD ( for the time being ) I decided to snap-up this quality Blu-ray version of Sleepy Hollow, post haste!
It won't be released on Blu-Ray again ( until silly Paramount go back to the winning team ) so if you own a Blu-ray player and would like this Tim Burton classic, then its best to grab it now.
As usual, since Blu-Ray bonus features are still just starting out, extras are exactly the same as on the old DVD. But its nice to watch the film in pristine clarity.
5 stars for the film, 5 stars for it being on Blu-Ray,
everything else is just by the by.
Hooray for Sleeping Hollow on Blu-Ray, Woo.
As a side-note, it works on Australian Blu-Ray players, since the disc itself isn't region locked to Region A. It won't come out in Australia
on Blu-ray ( anytime soon, that is ) so snap it up off Amazon if you're a Burton fan.
Movie Review: One of Tim Burton's most visually striking films

Sleepy Hollow is just a great looking movie that deserves a DVD play at least once a year in October. This is one of the ultimate Halloween movies. It features spooky sets, one of Danny Elfman's best music scores, enough gore to make Sweeney Todd proud and the visual touches of Tim Burton. The acting is good all around, with no one standing out from the crowd. I like Johnny Depp in this, but it's not one of his best performances. As a whole, Sleepy Hollow is my favorite flick from this director and it has been since I first saw it in theaters back in 1999.Movie Review: Great Blu-ray Experience

Anyone who knows the name Tim Burton doesn't have to be told that you can't go wrong with any of his flicks. Burton's films were born to be seen on blu-ray, and Sleepy Hollow is no exception. I am new to the blu-ray world and this was my first blu-ray at home. Having seen this movie a few times before, I was not forseeing any real surprises. As for the actual story and such, I knew what to expect. It was the clarity that surprised me. The little things in the background. The scenery. BLU-RAY VERSION IS WORTH BUYING. I DON'T NEED TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE MOVIE, OTHERS ALREADY HAVE. BUT, NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE TELL YOU IF IT IS WORTH UPGRADING FROM YOUR REGULAR DVD TO BLU-RAY. THIS ONE IS WORTH IT, BUT THE UPGRADE OF A REGULAR DVD ON A GOOD BLU-RAY PLAYER IS ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE BLU-RAY VERSION ON THIS MOVIE, MAYBE BECAUSE IT DOES NOT HAVE A LOT OF STUNNING COLORS. While this isn't Tim Burton's best, but it is still a Very, very good, Very FUN movie!
And this Blu-Ray high def version looks absolutely great. A HUGE improvement over the standard release DVD version!
I would call this a must have for your Blu-Ray DVD collection whether you are a Tim Burton fan, or just enjoy a good tongue in cheek gothic scare-fest. Perfect film for Halloween!
