Movie Review: Courageous mother

Strong story line: A mother who would not allow circumstances to control her life! Love this story! I have watched it numerous times since purchasing it from Amazon.com. The fact that it is based on a true story helps me realize what people lived through in war torn Europe because of one crazy man. Elizabeth certainly found courage over and over; she was a woman of strong personal conviction, an inspiration. Would you or I have the courage to stand in the face of an enemy and say, "If you want the comfort of my home, you will do it on my terms." I have heard other versions of this account, so I was very pleased to see this story in a movie format. The characters are all very excellent in the roles they play, with Linda Hamilton leading the pack from start to finish!
The sobering truth is that so many conflicts and war experiences are formulated by the few, while the multitudes are required to live out, by no choice of their own, the day-to-day consequences that are often life changing and at times terrifying. This story reminds us of this truth by giving an account of a Christmas Eve that was observed in the midst of conflict and war by very brave individuals who were inspired by the spirit of Christmas to enable all to survive in spite of being on opposing sides.
Movie Review: Beautiful Storytelling

Silent Night is a beautiful rendition of a true WW2 story. I'd heard the story for years, so it was a pleasure to finally see it in video form. The story concerns three American soldiers and three German soldiers that find themselves unwillingly thrust together one Christmas Eve near the fighting front lines in Germany. They are in the isolated mountain cabin of a German woman and her young son. The woman, played wonderfully well by Linda Hamilton, insists that the men leave their weapons and grudges outside for one night. The movie is both exciting and clean, a rarity in today's moviemaking. The acting is superb all the way around, as is the filmography. I highly recommend it.Movie Review: Must See Family Movie

Silent Night, is a movie for the whole family. It so impressed me that I ordered a copy for each of our six grown children. so that it could be shared with my grandchildren. Rarely, do we see a World War ll movie that shares the message that
enemies can come together when the circumstances are right and hostility is put aside. This movie is relevant in our world today where we so easily label others as enemies, because of their skin color, religious beliefs, or as shown in this movie hating people that we really know nothing about. Because this movie is narrated by a child, it has broad appeal to
other children.

I stumbled across this movie while searching for sometime to watch. As I like Linda Hamilton, I decided to watch it. This movie really speaks of the fact that if we can focus on our simlarities, we can find a way to overcome our differences! I can tell you that this movie will be added to the movies that are a staple of our Christmas tradition. It has a great combination of good acting, a touching true story, a Christmas miracle, and a lesson for everyone! I highly recommend this movie! It shows that miracles can and do happen!!!
