Movie Review: Beautiful Storytelling
Summary: 5 Stars

Silent Night is a beautiful rendition of a true WW2 story. I'd heard the story for years, so it was a pleasure to finally see it in video form. The story concerns three American soldiers and three German soldiers that find themselves unwillingly thrust together one Christmas Eve near the fighting front lines in Germany. They are in the isolated mountain cabin of a German woman and her young son. The woman, played wonderfully well by Linda Hamilton, insists that the men leave their weapons and grudges outside for one night. The movie is both exciting and clean, a rarity in today's moviemaking. The acting is superb all the way around, as is the filmography. I highly recommend it.
