Movie Reviews of Showdown in Little Tokyo

Movie Review: Before The Crow, He was a Cop
Summary: 5 Stars

This film here was the first Brandon Lee American movie. He had done some limited TV spots and a film in Hong Kong prior to Showdown in Little Tokyo though. For a low-budget film, it's sure to keep both Lee and Lundgren fans enthralled. The fight scenes are well choreographed, and the banter between Lee and Lundgren adds some humor as well. Watching Lee's budding talent, it makes you wonder what would have been had he not died on the set of The Crow. Don't expect the quality of The Crow here, but Showdown in Little Tokyo is definitely worth picking up. It would have been nice if the DVD was offered in widescreen, and if some extras had been thrown in, but the film alone is worth the price of admission.

Movie Review: I miss Brandon
Summary: 5 Stars

In some ways this was your standard white samurai/ninja story and really I usually hate those movies but somehow having Dolph Lundgren as the white samurai it made it ok. Also it was interesting seeing Brandon resist the temptation to beat everyone up as easily as I'm sure he was able. It was very much like seeing the Green Hornet but the having the Green Hornet guy actually be dangerous and have the Kato guy follow the role. Sadly seeing this made me think how wonderful it would have been to see Dolph and Brandon do the Green Hornet movie. It would have been amazing. But hey, this was great fun. Loved it.

Movie Review: This is an action movie a woman can enjoy too
Summary: 5 Stars

Im not one for 80s or early 90s action movies but i did really enjoy this one. Most action movies that have a woman being rescued etc. in it seem pretty cheesy cause the woman usually acts really fake. I admire Tia Carrere and I think she was pretty strong in this film. Who can forget her and dolph getting it on to? Not to be perverted or anything but that somewhat draws a woman into a action movie. I would defintely watch this movie again...and dont worry guys its not a sappy movie or anything but i would defintely watch it on a 2nd date...might get lucky!

Movie Review: First rate show for Lundgren and Lee fans
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie is very well-rounded. You have lots of action, drama, humor and even a bit of a love tale. Brandon's humor really makes the movie more enjoyable, not to mention his style conrasted to Dolph's. Their talents are really put on display here, this seems to be the most martial arts- oriented movie either one of them have done, and they do not disappoint. If you are an action fan, Lee or Dolph fan, this movie is for you. The love scenes are a little cheesy, but the movie is very good and I never get bored of watching it over and over again.

Movie Review: Kinky Interracial sex scene was funny, and cool...
Summary: 5 Stars

The scene in which Japanese-American actor Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa (who also played the father in the children's TV series, "Johnny Tsunami") and the actress playing a *smoking-hot* blonde drug addict engage in sexual "foreplay" with the kantana blade was actually very hot, in a cheesy yet very original and sexy sort of way. Totally worth the viewing just for that scene!
