Movie Reviews of Show Me Love

Movie Review: My Favorite Movie of All Time
Summary: 5 Stars

Show Me Love is, simply put, one of the finest films to ever hit the screen. A well-written and natural film, it feels less like a movie and more like a documentary. There are so many instances where you feel as though the characters feel. Dahlstrom and Liljeberg are perfect and have an amazing chemistry. The supporting actors hold their own, especially Ralph Carlsson's performance as Agnes' father. Simply put, you may never find a better film about teenagers, or a better film, period.

Movie Review: Excelente, Una comedia dramatica imperdible.
Summary: 5 Stars

Simplemente Excelente.

Movie Review: Show Me Love...and Honest and Funny Tale of Youth
Summary: 5 Stars

Show me Love is not just a movie about two young girls discovering their sexuallity, in fact, that is probably one of the smaller components of the film.

Show Me Love depicts, very honestly and with much humour, the day to day process of growing up. Siblings, Parents, peers and even the people you fall in love with.

Alexandra Dahlstrom and Rebecca Liljeberg give amazing performances and the film is not to be missed.

For those weary of subtitled movies, fear not, the film is easy to follow.

Movie Review: A tender treatment of love
Summary: 5 Stars

The touching feature of this film is the sense of bare truth making its way to the surface through the stereotypical muddled and superficial existence of modern teenagers (yes, I know, this does sound judgmental). Somehow even a cliche song by Robyn fits correctly into this scheme. For me the absolute gem of this film was Rebecka Liljeberg (Agnes). It is a shame though, that an actress of such immense talent chooses to work in cinema only sporadically.

Movie Review: Beautiful
Summary: 5 Stars

SHOW ME LOVE is a truly poignant story of teen love. It shows, in a frank way, both the heartache and the joy involved in falling in love. The two principals, Rebecka (Agnes) and Alexandra (Elin) are wonderful as they portray the quiet, suffering outcast and her beautiful, boisterous classmate. There is much angst, sadness and even humor along the way. But, eventually love wins out. Excellent.
