Movie Reviews of Shocked

Movie Review: Beware!
Summary: 2 Stars

I'd have to agree with the other viewer that I'm shocked as well this film was released on DVD. At least the price is in check with the quality, although in spite of this, I still don't it's worth it. I can't understand why a title such as this would be brought to DVD, when so many other quality movies have yet to be released on DVD. And speaking of quality, that's the biggest problem with this movie - it looks like it was recorded from a tv with 'rabbit ears' tuned to a distant station. Picture quality - grainy. I do give it 2 stars though (instead of one), because it's based on a true story, and John Lithgow does a fine acting job.

Movie Review: Orginally titled Mesmerized
Summary: 2 Stars

This movie was orginally titled Mesmerized and was a 1984 movie. While I don't recall it being released in theatres, it is out on video and now DVD under the name Shocked. It is a strange twisting plot, but the acting of Foster and Lithgow is, as usually, very good.

All in all, though, I'd have to say it is not one of their best works, but if you are a fan of either, it is worth viewing.

Movie Review: Slow and boring
Summary: 1 Stars

This movie is very slow and boring! John Lithgow's character is so unappealing and frankly doesn't even make any sense. Jodie Foster is "dead", and the plot is so uneffective. Some things are never explained, such as why those two got married in the first place....but it's not like you'll care.
