Movie Review: Completely satisfied

I bought this DVD when I got wind of Shiva Rea. She had great reviews here on Amazon and I can certainly see why. She is a very grounded individual. There are times when her instruction lacks the basic English necessary to understand yoga postures, but that is a minor drawback for me. Her voice is very soothing and she does give you beginning movements as well as advanced. Vinyasa flow is sometimes a bit strenuous. I've sweated more than once doing portions of this DVD so if you are a fan of hatha yoga, this may not be for you. The yoga matrix is fantastic. If there is a certain type of posture you wish to work on, just go to the matrix and pick it, along with some warming up and cooling down movements of course. Shiva's interview is enlightened as well. She is a person of integrity.

I've "studied" yoga for many years, but got bored with the traditional videos and classes after a few months... until Shiva Rea! Until I rented a copy of "Sun Salutations" and "Solar Flow" (I believe these are both taken from "Yoga Shakti"), I always felt something was missing. But, to me, this is what yoga is-flowing movement. I purchased "Yoga Shakti" and do it every morning... I'm quite grumpy if I miss a day! I can't wait to get "Yoga Trance Dance" and "Fluid Vinyasa".

I love being able to customize the time that I have to do yoga. I found this to be a great flow and challenging. I have done this DVD several times and still not at all bored. GREAT MONEY SPENT!
