I was looking for something that would get me into shape and I think I found it. Not really a yoga fan Shiva has got me into it. She has a relaxing voice and she's a beast. I also like how the DVD allows you to grow and advance through different stages. I also like the morning/sun salutation and the night/lunar salutation. So you can do it either time of the day. This DVD is perfect for the long-time yoga practitioner who knows his/her limits and is looking to push them. The matrix also can help extend the use-life of the DVD, but after owning the DVD for a month and using the DVD 8 times, I can confidently say I'm still another 10-15 times away from using the matrix as Shiva's pre-set routines are nicely ordered. The one downside to the DVD is the matrix does not tell you how long each routine is, which is a driving factor for a lot of my mid-week practices. Also, the dvd moves quickly from chapter to chapter which is good for an advanced user, but requires some pausing for the less inexperienced user.Movie Review: A must have for your yoga collection

By far Shiva Rea's best yoga dvd. The yoga matrix allows you to create your own sequences dependant on how you would like to work in each practice. Shiva Rea gives plenty of options to allow you to work to your own level and yet the challenges are still there for you to aim for.
On the dvd is also technical instructionals, on the Bandhas and allignment, which are helpful and informative.
There is also plenty on meditation and pranyama.
Shiva Rea's freeform yoga demonstration is a delight to see.
There are interviews with renowned yogis - p.s. I don't really understand what the yoga instructor who demonstrated the different moods with his face was doing but it was very interesting to watch.

Multiple yoga parts to pick from to keep you from getting bored. Challenging to beginners to intermediate. Just love the calmness and strength of the instructor.
