Movie Reviews of ShenandoahMovie Review: One of the best movies I've ever seen Summary: 5 Stars
I love this movie. It's a true classic. I enjoy watching it over and over. It's in color, and very nice quality for 1965. It covers many of the sentiments expressed by many people in the Civil War on both sides. This is a movie I would reccommend to anyone. There are several famous actors in the movie. James Stewart as Mr. Anderson. Doug McClure (Trampas- The Virginian)stars as Sam. Glenn Corbett and Patrick Wayne also offer great performances. Great story, great acting, and a great movie!
Movie Review: You Can't Ignore War Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellent movie with an all star cast and it just goes to show that wars involve all who are near them even when we don't want them too. Jimmy Stewart lost two of his sons and a daughter-in-law to the Civil War even though he tried to ignore the fact that as long as the war was not on his land in Virginia it was not his concern. Both the case and the movie were in excellent shape and I would order from this vendor again. Thanks RWM
Movie Review: Perhaps the best Civil War movie ever Summary: 5 Stars
This is a classic and a must have for Civil War buffs or Jimmy Stewart fans. It has it all: romance, action, and strong family values, not counting a host of name actors. You never get tired of seeing this movie - it's one of those that you enjoy playing 2 or 3 times a year - and it's a movie the whole family can watch and enjoy, which is hard to come by these days.
Movie Review: Common Sense with a Twist Summary: 5 Stars
If you like westerns and civil war stories, have a passion for James Stewart and want to enjoy a good movie- this is the one. You become part of this family as they search for "the boy". The hardships they endure will bring tears to your eyes (happy and sad) as they scour the south during the Civil War looking for him.
Movie Review: Good Civil War Film for the whole Family Summary: 5 Stars
What a film! I really love it. We don't get that many Civil War films when you think about it. This film really aims at the war and how it directly affects those caught right in the middle. Strong on emotion and character. I read once that Stewart considered this to be his favorite film. In any event it is a good one.
