Movie Review: The grass isn't always greener...

She-Devil a great dark comedy about revenge. BoB (Ed Begley Jr.) is bored of his blah wife who just can't seem to do anything right...so he decides to have an affair with romance novelist Mary Fisher (Meryl Streep). He leaves suburbia, his kids and wife, so Ruth (Roseanne) decides to show him how bad life can really be. After burning down the house, dumping the kids at the pretty pink palace by the sea and breaking Mary Fisher's mom out of a nursing home, she and a friend start an employment agency to help women in similar situations. By placing the right women in the right jobs, Bob soon learns hell hath no fury like a woman scorned when he ends up with nothing and no one, all because he crossed the wrong woman.Movie Review: Funny Revenge Thriller

Roseanne Barr plays Ruth Patchette. A worn-out housewife who desperatly wants a new and better life. She's not too surprized when she finds out her husband was cheating on her with a rich, snotty romance novelist (Meryl Streep). And when she can't stand his bickering anymore about how she is not good enough for the family, she does all of the hazardous things with appliances that you're not supposed to do, for example, puts aresol cans in the microwave, knives in the blender, overloads circuts, starts a fire. Resulting in the house blowing up. She then begins sweet-revenge on her unfaithful husband and his new woman. I don't blame her.Movie Review: Revenge at its best!

She-Devil was one of those movies we had on VHS when I was younger. I pretty much wore out that tape! This is such a great little movie. Others have summarized the plot so I won't go there but this is one flick you shouldn't miss out on. Roseanne doesn't get mad about her life falling to pieces...she gets even...and then some! There are so many funny parts that overall, it makes She-Devil incredibly entertaining no matter how many times you watch it. I saw this movie because it was showing on tv and I had nothing better to do and I ended up watching the whole thing. I thought I would turn it off 5 minutes into the movie but She-Devil is funny and keeps you entertained. It
s definitely different than alot of movies but worth watching and owning. It is appropriate for the whole family for the most part. Good ending. It is not my favorite movie but I could watch it some more.
Movie Review: Cheesy and awful, yet riveting...

For some strange reason, this is one of those 'b' movies that I am compelled to sit and watch every time I come across it on cable. I don't know why. I just find it highly entertaining, and somehow riveting, even though it's cheesy and awful. It's like junk food. You know you could do a whole lot better... but you once you've opened the bag of chips, you're in it for the long haul.
