Movie Review: how far would you go ...when push comes to shove?
Summary: 4 Stars
this movie's premise revenge at it's core but more than that, it's revenge to teach a lesson and yet how it does it is the skill...but the main thing that you learn about is that you cannot predict the motives at all of anyone in this movie or what they will do.
there is are twists to the plot, one twists turns into a double twist. It is a movie that has a bit of the disturbing and yet a tad bit of the maniacal wit you get a laughing at something that really is not very funny.
superb acting on the part of Brosnan but Bello and Butler are really not quite as good, in my humble opinion, though they are o.k. but given that the characters are not more than one-dimensional this could and this leaves you feeling that there could have been more to get give you in feeling for these characters, instead of the empty feeling that ...or like a real TV-style movie rather than one on the big screen.
Movie Review: Under the radar suspense!

The cast alone should get you interested in this movie. I didn't see it brought out in theatres but saw a preview from renting another movie. I'm a fan of all three actors and thought the writing and acting was excellent. So many twists and turns in this movie, but in the end...they all make sense and you wonder why you never thought of it before. I really enjoyed this movie and thought Brosnan played an excellent role in being the "bad guy". But was he really the bad guy? You need to watch to find out! Not a Blockbuster. Just good entertainment for a couple of hours. I enjoyed it.
As far as value: I rented it on two dollar day and it more than exceeded my dollar to enjoyment ratio. If I had paid ten dollars to own it, I would still be OK with that. If I had paid more to own it, the ratio would drop (some movies you just know you're going to pay uppwards of $16 to see right away. This would not be one of them. But almost any Pierce Brosnan movie is going to deliver.
Movie Review: Butler at his best

Wow! Gerard Butler not only is gorgeous and can sing , he is a great actor too.
Who in my opinion deserves more recognition than he gets.
The movie should be called twisted. Because the plot twists and turns. One moment you think you know whats happening and the next its totally different than what you thought. Great acting by everyone. I can't mention what happens just that it is about a couple whose daughter is abducted. GREAT ENDING.
Movie Review: why wasn't this ever a theatrical release?

I just watched this movie and enjoyed it to the very last second. Not going to give any plot points away here but these three leads are terrific and goodness knows Butler is white hot after 300Spartans so why didn't this get a big screen proper release? Oh well...its a terrific thriller..reminded me a bit of a Hitchcock. Great movie for a cold evening...highly recommended. Lovely widescreen presentation and nice bonus features...solid DVD.
