I am a 21 year old female and i love old movies. This is one of the best ones that I have seen. It's about 4 girls who just graduated high school and want to spend one last weekend together before they all go off to college. They're supposed to go to one place, but end up in another. Shag is one of my all time favorite movies... A few years ago I had to move heaven and [earth] to find it on video, so I am thrilled to find it on DVD. Anytime I want fun or cheering up I pop this in. It reminds me of growing up and goin' to the Strand. It's a shame Myrtle Beach isn't like this anymore. The rating is based on her rating...This movie is terrible if you are a middle-aged man. I could not get past the first 30 minutes. On the other hand, my wife loves it and watches it all the time. This is a favorite for my family. We've had to buy it about 3 times due to others borrowing the move and never returning it. It takes place in South Carolina which is where I am from. I bought this because we had a girls night at a friend's house. Many had not seen it and I think it's a must for any girl out there looking for a good old Romantic Comedy. So if you haven't seen it, or don't remember if you did, I highly recommend it. ...it is "The moooost fun!"
