Movie Review: My favorite of movie of all time!

I wacthed this movie for the first time when I was 12 in the summer of 1990. I purchased it a few years back. Like everyone elses opinion, I have watched this movie over and over again. Definate chick flick. This movie makes me feel good everytime I watch it. I cannot wait to travel to South Carolina to feel the way the girls did. I have one question, a few people have listed that there was a different version(regarding the music). Maybe I can't remember the difference from 10 years ago. I would like to see an original if it does exist. Someone please email me if you know more about the original at tijjo@hotmail.com. I knew it, I knew it!! When I bought the VHS format of Shag, I was disappointed because I was sure the music was different than the rental version I had seen. It wasn't nearly as good with the "new" music. I told the video retailer and they said I was wrong, that only one version was made. I read the reviews and I WAS RIGHT! One of the reviews says the DVD version restores the original music, so I am going to buy it. Can't wait to see the original version. This movie is one of the best feel good movies I've ever seen. Great for teens, adults...good memories. Like Pudge really needed that Metrical! It's the most fun!Movie Review: best dance movie

when i was little, my sister showed me SHAG and GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN, both on the same night..at age 10, i chose GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN as the better of the two...not until recently did i fall in love with SHAG!!!! i suppose i didn't understand much of the movie at age 10 and therefore chose GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN over it!!! at 17 yeaars old, i LOVE SHAG,,,the characters are great, the plot is interesting (4 teens go away, unchaperoned, to a beach, to parties, to dances)and the dancing is sheer beauty!!! SHAG is a classic, and a personal favorite!!!
Movie Review: Shag-A Dancer's Summer Dream

A taste of the South and an adventure of Dance, Love and Mischief...pretty neato mosquito if I do say so myself! :) The soundtrack is great and the costuming in the movie is almost alltogether worth it in itself...but, then...there's the twisted love angles and swaps and the overall essence of the Summertime in the South and let's not forget the dancing...the end scene is worth buying the movie for! Also, an all star cast...Brigette Fonda and Phoebe Cates...young and heating up the screen with attitude and classic sex appeal. A must see...a must own...
