Movie Reviews of Seven GirlfriendsMovie Review: A fun, unknown movie Summary: 5 Stars
I saw this film last year when the director, Paul Lazarus, presented it at Dartmouth College. While not a great film, it is a fun, funny look at dating with some more complex themes as well. One thing that Lazarus said is that having a largely "TV cast" hurt this movie in terms of distribution. But Tim Daly (Wings, The Fugitive) is very good in the lead role, and there are good performances by other television actors, such as Laura Leighton of Melrose Place. This movie is very funny and filled with a lot of black humor. It is a refreshing change from some of the ridiculous Hollywoodized romantic comedies that we see a lot of. Look for a small appearance by Lazarus as the man who walks in on the couple in the bedroom.
Movie Review: Funny, Romantic Comedy Summary: 5 Stars
Surprising and very funny throughout. Tim Daly is sensational, All the women are great especially Jami Gertz, Melora Hardin and Laura Leighton (Melrose Place). Different, sexy, fun. The score is terrific too featuring songs from Crowded House and other groups. Watch it with your boyfriend, girfriend, significant other. Guaranteed good time.
Movie Review: A winner, suitable for both of you Summary: 5 Stars
Paul Lazarus has brought together an outstanding ensemble of actors and given them three-dimensional characters and crisp dialog to work with, creating a film that feels like it's filled with your own friends and acquaintances. Spend an afternoon or evening with it, and you'll want your own copy so you can see it again with a friend.
Movie Review: Excellent music and songs Summary: 5 Stars
The most I want to say about this movie is that it has some excellent music and songs going. The plot is not important...it is the words and songs that put you to thinking about love and life.... Loved it!
