Movie Review: A must have for early readers.
Summary: 5 Stars
My 10 year old son enjoyed this program (in VHS) when he was around a year old. He watched it many times a day and as a result, began reading at age 3. I do feel like the repetitive exposure of the catchy songs about the alphabet were definitely an aid in his early reading. I now have a 5 month old daughter and was excited to see it available in DVD format. She, at only 5 months, enjoys the catchy little songs/cartoons and also watches it a few times a day. I hope to see the same results in her reading skills as well. Some of the little cartoon/skits are "old-school" and I even remember watching them as a child. My husband and I find ourselves singing the songs all day long, that's how catchy they are. My only complaints are its only about a half an hour long, so it goes by quick and I'm not a big fan of all the dialogue amongst the puppets...I think the 2 year-olds enjoy it though. Overall, its worth the money if it helps your child excel at reading, and you can only find it on Amazon!
