Movie Reviews of Sesame Street - Sing Along

Movie Review: Sesame Street
Summary: 5 Stars

My granddaughter loves this dvd. I would recommend this to all who have young children.

Movie Review: Where are Ernie and Bert??
Summary: 4 Stars

My son LOVES this movie. I agree that it's a must for any young Sesame Street fans. There are some very nice, heart-warming songs on there that I haven't heard on any other Sesame St. shows. My favorite is "We all sing with the same voice".
My son dances to just about every song on this DVD, and it's helped him learn some of the basic sing-a-long songs.
Our only complaint is that Ernie and Bert are his absolutely favorite characters, and they're really not featured in this DVD. They each have one song, which is misleading since they're on the cover. My son wanted this DVD simply because it had Ernie and Bert on it, which was clever marketing but somewhat frustrating once we started playing it.

Movie Review: Simple, old-fashioned fun.
Summary: 4 Stars

There's not much plot to get in the way of the story: a batch of grownups and kids, and a few muppets, gather around a piano on the roof and sing songs. The efforts of Biff and Sully to fix a TV antenna allow for a number of classics from the show, such as "Rubber Ducky," "Doin' the Pigeon," and Grover singing "Be My Echo" with Madeline Kahn. It's charming, unpretentious fun to sing along with your kids. As other reviewers have noted, this one goes way back. How far back? If you remember David, you may be either pleased or a little nostalgic to see him singing with the gang; it looks like it was pretty close to the end of his years on the show.

Movie Review: Love the episode- hate the ad
Summary: 4 Stars

My kids like this one, because it has lots of music, but not being able to skip or fast forward through the ad at the beginning of teh DVD is a real turn-off. My kids do not care that the purchsase of this video supports Sesmae Street- and neither do I anymore. I have stopped purchasing Sesame Street DVDs because of the blocking of fast forward during the initial ad. Its just too annoying.

Movie Review: Bought packaged with other suggested
Summary: 3 Stars

We bought this because it was packaged as a deal with 2 other Sesame Street videos (Favorite Songs, Silly Songs). This is our least favorite of the three, but our 15 month old still enjoys it.
