HAVING SEEN THIS BEFORE IN DIFFERENT VERSIONS, I CAN SAFELY SAY THAT THIS WAS MY ALL AROUND FAVORITE. IT PLACED ME IN WITH THE CHARACTERS WHO MADE UP THE SUM OF THE STORY, AS THEY LIVED THEIR LIVES, MAKING IT BELIEVABLE. A MUST SEE.

I bought this movie for my girlfriend expecting to sleep through another Jane Austin chick flick but this one was very good! It doesn't show on the cover, but the movie has the actors who play Dr. House and Professor Snape in it. House is still greatly cynical but Snape's character is awkwardly sensitive (hilarious to compare to his other roles). Hugh Grant, however, had a weak spirited character and came across very out of place. The regular Jane Austin sarcasm came through and the drama side was surprisingly entertaining. Guys: this makes a great gift and you'll enjoy it too.Movie Review: A must have if you are a Jane Austen fan!

Jane Austen has a way of weaving a store that keeps your interest peaked and a smile on your face. The landscape is spectacular as is the costumes. No one could go wrong with that cast.
