I have always been a Jane Austen fan, so I could not resist ordering the latest BBC production of Sense and Sensibility and Persuasion on DVD. After Pride and Prejudice (which I already own) these are my favorite Austen books. The adaptations are excellent and spot on with the details, like only the BBC can do when it comes to period pieces. You are transported to a world of exquisite manners and rigid class distinctions with very appealing heroines, the dangerous rake, and, always, the hero and the happy ending. Wonderful historical romances! Movie Review: Enjoyed movie.

These are wonderful versions of Jane Austen books. I have the Emma Thompson version of Sense and Sensibility and the Amanda Root version of Persuasion. Both of these new remakes do not disappoint. The acting is very good and the casting is age appropriate. Loved it, loved it, loved it!
