Movie Review: "LIVE in PARIS" - A real gem!!!
Summary: 5 Stars
"A Live Experience", every concert should have passion like this! Seal gives a stunning performance; you will look at the faces in the crowd and wish you were there!
The acoustic arrangement of his songs are amazing, they give a fresh approach to the recorded versions on his CD's. Dare I say, "better than the recorded versions?"
If someone were to say to me, "they watched this DVD, and knew they wanted a career in the music business". I can understand why! Whether they have talent or not!
You can't help getting caught up in the emotion between the stage and the audience. This is one concert to watch over and over again. There isn't one bad song on this DVD. They are all brilliant!
If you were to ask me, what is your favourite track, I would have to pick two!
"Just like you said" and "Future love Paradise". If you close your eyes and listen, you will hear Seal's voice, reaching out to touch the stars in the heavens.
This is not just a DVD; you get a CD as well, to experience some of the concert on your Walkman. I only wish the concert version of "Whirlpool" was includes on the CD.
A DVD & CD, to showcase a collection of work from an artist: that proves "live" is the best way to listen to musical talent!
Movie Review: Everything is On-point

Years ago after Seal released his second album, a friend of mine and his wife went and saw him live. He told me that it was a horrible concert. There was no bass or bottom. I couldn't believe that particular criticism. They type of music that is Seal, it is very important to have a solid and full bottom.
Well I just received this dvd today and just finished watching it.
There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this live performance.
Everything is there and on point. Seal's voice is perfect and the musicians are tight and really know how to lay it down.
If you are more familiar with Seal's older songs, well that may cause you to hesistate to purchase this. The concert consists of songs from his latest cd. Don't let that stop you. You will find to like them all and even have a new appreciation for his newer stuff
Seal has not yet to dissappoint with anything he has put out thus far.
Get this dvd! It's a gem
Movie Review: Open or closed eye DVD

When I ordered the Live in Paris DVD, I had some trepidation. I DID like the number and selection of songs on the list, but some live music DVD's are heavy on the audience clapping and on the backstage set-up. Not so this DVD. Its music is not dragged through audience reaction (though we are "treated" to some video of their enjoyment while Seal is singing or his musicians accompany and just a bit of his comments backstage on how he wants the rest of the concert to continue). What I enjoy most about the DVD is that I can watch it or, should I happen to be recovering from one of my many migraines, I can close my eyes and even drift off to Seal's outstanding voice and feel like I'm not missing something. The DVD will just repeat and I can pick up where I left off. Best part of the DVD: The full rendition of "Prayer for the Dying," so heartfelt, and his voice is full and rich even though he's been singing for quite some time. Highly recommended.Movie Review: By far the best concert DVD I've seen.

Well, I've seen many concert DVD's and most of the time I was dissapointed, sometimes by a picture quality but mostly by sound. But this one! This is just the best DVD you can ever buy! Until recently, I adored these two - The Cure - Trilogy and David Gray - Live At the Point. But Seal just sets a standard for all the others. The picture is perfect and the sound, guys, this just sounds awesome! No speakers on the stage, all the musicians wear Ultimate Ears custom headphones ($900) and it obviously works great! Not a single mistake, everything is so clear and Seal is just one of the best singers. How this guy can sing, that's unbelievable!
Go ahead and buy, worth every penny! And go for the set with a CD - you'll find yourself listening to this concert CD instead of his other ones.

Great show. This guy is a real talent. A little off subject I know, but it's rare to see such a tall person with this kind of stage presence. He totally owns it. They say acting and rock music is owned by short guys and Seal is the exception. :)
He is an amazing vocalist and really has great command over both the audience and the music itself. He is one of the most passionate performers I have ever seen and this DVD does an excellent job of capturing it.
A wide variety of material here, from the debut stuff of the early 90s, through his pop stuff, to the more recent work. A good collection and a must for any Seal fan!
