Movie Reviews of School for ScoundrelsMovie Review: School for Scoundrels Summary: 5 Stars
"If you're not one up, you're one down", according to Alastair Sim's character. Who better to advise Ian Carmichael when he goes tete-a-tete with Terry-Thomas. Once you've seen this movie, you'll come away with a silly grin on your face. And if you never see this movie, I can only say, "Oh, hard cheese", your loss.
Movie Review: Scoundrels Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent comedy, starring 4 of the most prominent British comic actors of the day, Alastair Sim, Terry Thomas, Dennis Price, and Ian Carmichael. Based on Stephen Potter's "Lifemanship" books. Though not as deep and extensive as Potter's writings, it is nevertheless a very amusing excerpt.
Movie Review: Classic British Comedy Summary: 5 Stars
I discovered this movie and others with Ian Carmichael in the mid-60s at a small theater in Philadelphia. The decades have not dulled the pleasure of seeing this film. It is great to see Terry Thomas before Hollywood destroyed him.
Movie Review: School for Scoundrels Summary: 5 Stars
As a young man in England, I saw this movie in the early sixties and it made such an impression on me, that I simply had to own it, 45 years later.
A British classic comedy, not overdone and not to be outdone.
Movie Review: Great English humor Summary: 5 Stars
I saw this when it came out in the early 60's. I have been looking for it a long time. It's great entertainment & the price was right.
