Loved every moment of this film. Glorious story and plot based (with artistic license) on the Rafael Sabatini novel of the same name. Victor Young's music provides an excellent accompaniment to the film's action and romantic scenes. A minor criticism, I only wish the DVD was offered in a "letterbox" (wide screen) format.Movie Review: Scaramouche

Love Stuart Granger. What a Hunk of a man! As like all his movies they are not to be missed. I wish I could get more but alot of the ones I want are not available. Glad to have this in my collection it is a must see even if you don't like hunky men like him. Glenn Hirooka states in his review: "A minor criticism, I only wish the DVD was offered in a "letterbox" (wide screen) format." Only problem is, that there were no wide screen films when this one was made. The first "wide screen" film was "The Robe" made later in 1953.

I ordered this from India because it's one of my all time favorites and I just had to own a copy. Got to tell you that I am more than happy with the Scaramouche DVD I ordered. Great print and great sound quality. Couldn't ask for more.
