Movie Review: The movie that really made me fall in love with forbidden love

The age-old story of the long standing affair between otherwise engaged people, but with a twist or two...or three! No matter the year in which this movie is set or was made, it is timeless, sweet, and shows you a different side of illicit love affairs. Alda and Burstyn are excellent, very funny and have an incomparable chemistry. I adore this film and would watch it over and over again. In fact, I already had the VHS when the DVD came out, and I bought it immediately!Movie Review: Wonderful Movie! Well Worth Watching!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It has a little bit of everything: comedy, drama, etc. The setting and the theme are marvelous and make the movie even more enjoyable. I've watched it more than a few times! The idea of a married man and woman meeting at a resort and having an affair isn't so far fetched, but the idea of them agreeing to meet each year the same time is quite unique. The casting for this movie was "right on." I'll watch it again and again!Movie Review: One of my favorite movies ever!

When I realized that many of my lady friends had never seen this movie, I bought it from Amazon.com and had a "girls' afternoon out", with a bottomless pitcher of Sangria and loads of popcorn. We are all still talking about what fun that afternoon was, and we vowed to do it again with another classic movie. I can't believe I'd never even heard about this movie! It was only a few days ago, when I read a novel where this is mentioned, that the idea of the story --a couple of lovers who meet for a weekend, every year for twenty-something years-- caught my attention and I decided to rent it. I loved it. It's funny, moving, and utterly wonderful. Don't miss Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn's amazing performances.

I saw the movie, "Same Time, Next Year" several times before finally purchasing it on DVD a few years ago. I absolutely loved the movie. Alan Alda was so hilarious. Both Alan Alda's and Ellen Burstyn's performances were superb. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves to laugh and wants to leave a movie with a light hearted and uplifted feeling.
