Quote from web site below
"After an eight-year hiatus, sade made a triumphant return in the summer of 2001 with her album lovers rock and sold-out american tour of the same name.

That magic is now captured on lovers live, a live album and accompanying dvd and vhs that feature highlights from last year's tour and includes new songs as well as classic hits such as "is it a crime", "sweetest taboo" and "smooth operator."

Lovers live is released on cd in the US on the 4th february with the dvd following on the 26th. in the uk both the cd and dvd will be in stores on the 18th of february.
the album will include 13 cuts. the dvd and vhs will include 22 songs plus behind the scenes footage, totaling 2 hours of programming from her 2001 tour."

Movie Review: Sade at the top of her game
Summary: 5 Stars

I would have loved to see this show live! While some would probably dismiss Sade as elevator-fluff, there's no doubt that there is a depth to her performances that is endearing. When she first came to the forefront with 1985's "Smooth Operator", it was fairly easy to dismiss as a one-shot tune for the '80's (although I like the song, the video was silly). Sade, however, expanded from there and built up her musical identity. Not certain if she's still locked in with "easy-listening" or if she's blazed her own trails by now, but there's no doubt there's no one else like her. This concert DVD showcases in a live performance what is wonderfully hinted at in many of her recordings, although perhaps she dips a toe into the "torch-singer" idea a bit more often than needed. Fine concert versions of many of Sade's more popular tunes and a worthwhile collection for fans!

Movie Review: Perfection!
Summary: 5 Stars

What a great DVD! Sade is truly one of the best performers of our time. I've always found great pleasure in her music, even though "Smooth Operator" was overplayed when she broke onto the North American scene. Some singers are great on record, but poor live. Proof of her fanastic abilities were bourne out when I saw her perform live on Saturday Night Live about 5 years ago. Excellent and bang on. This is a well recorded DVD with excellent quality and visuals. Of couse, Sade is the best visual! Her band is composed of excellent musicians and singers. "Kiss of Life", "Ordinary Love" and "Sweetest Taboo" are my favs on this DVD. This is a great one to watch, dance too or leave it on and bop around the house. It's just under 2 hours long, and it's excellent value for the price and quality of her music.

Movie Review: Sade the Smooth Performer
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been a devoted fan of Sade and her band since they first entered the scene in 1985. Her music has always been a romantic inspiration of the way love should be. In 1994 I had the pleasure of seeing her live for the first time. It was truly a mesmerizing experience. Enter 2001. Her first tour in seven years in support of an amazing CD. Even after the hiatus, Sade proved to me not only once in concert, but twice that she is not only as great as she was live in 1994, but has actually improved. She captivated the audience and this reviewer for almost 2 hours. And she accomplished this with none of the glitz that surround most of the other current performers that claim to be Divas. If a diva is defined by Talent and the ability to communicate to an audience, then Sade is truly a DIVA.

Movie Review: Almost Like Being There Again!
Summary: 5 Stars

I had tickets for the New Orleans show before I knew they were coming to Memphis the very next night! What a great show! India.Arie really set the mood for us down in The Big Easy and when Sade and company hit the stage we were all spellbound. The DVD comes pretty close to capturing the concert experience and it's very hard to stop watching once you start. The sound quality is very good through my older system. I have noticed one problem though; my DVD player pauses briefly between "Redeye" and "Jezebel" (at 00:49:03 if I remember correctly). Has anyone else noticed this or is it just a case of my DVD player not making a layer transition very well? (Note: I've noticed this on two copies of this DVD - I returned my first one thinking it was defective.)
