Movie Reviews of Rumble in the Bronx

Movie Review: Acting? You've got the wrong movie.
Summary: 5 Stars

Ok, to start off, I'll just say that Jackie Chan is the only actor in this movie. Luckily, that's quite enough. Outside of fight scenes, he makes use of enough expression to make the dialogue irrelevant. But when he gets down to business, forget everything you once knew about film. There's so much going on in the fight at the gang HQ that a lot of his wow factor can't be absorbed all at once. For example, how does he do a 360 degree spinning jump over a refridgerator and then a turning kick before he even lands? I don't know. The beauty of Jackie Chan movies is that you can almost hear him whispering to you, "Watch this."

Movie Review: The movie that made Jackie a star in America
Summary: 5 Stars

I dont think any other Chan movie could have done a better job at introducing the American public to Jackie Chan than Rumble in the Bronx. This movie has it all. It is very funny (I love the one way mirror part in the store), lots of fight scenes which are really great, and shows off Jackie's skills on all levels. The rooftop jump is great. One of my favorite Jackie Chan fight scenes ever is the gangsters hideout. Dont think about buying this movie, just buy it! You wont be disappointed. Buy it now not tomorrow!

Tomorrow tomorrow, always tomorrow! (If you've seen this movie then you know what I am talking about)

Movie Review: Rumble in the Bronx. do you own it?? if not, go buy it.
Summary: 5 Stars

I'd say this is one of my favorite movies. It may not win any awards, however, it has loads of action from start to finish. There are no dull moments, which is incredibly rare in movies these days. And how about those fight scenes? They are truly amazing, and since Chan does all of his own stunts, they look incredibly real. Most kung fu movies look fake and like acting, where as his actually look like he's brawling it out. I'm amazed every time I see it. And, the movie sort of has a plot. Like I said, it's not an award winner, but it's very entertaining, and when it all comes down to it, that's what counts.

Movie Review: Worth a purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

What I love about Jackie Chan Movies is the bit of humour that eases one into the movie, He's funny yet invincible, he gets beat up at first, but then comes back , almost like a machine, a terminator to kick the eney butt!
Rumble in the Bronx is action packed, he jumps of buildings, boats and drops out of clear blue sky escaping the gang. I had to remind my self to breathe when watching this.

Don't get put off by cheesey reviews, this movie rocks, and I might be a girl, but I know my action movies, trust me : )

Happy Watching.

Movie Review: Jackie Chan is awesome
Summary: 5 Stars

Rumble in the Bronx is clearly remembered as being the film that introduced Jackie Chan to America, and it is a great introduction. While the plot to the film is quite bad, the action sequences shine, particularly the hectic fight where Chan has take on an entire gang in their hideout. Though the conlusion doesn't have a martial arts fight it still features a fun hovercraft chase. Is Rumble in the Bronx one of Chan's best? Yes, I would say so. It is very much up to par with his other best works. Watch, and enjoy.
