I love this show. I love all the Blue collar comedians but Ron White is my favorite. His humor is funny but it is his delivery that makes it so great. I will be getting any new album he puts out.

Movie Review: I'll skip this salad

I bought this DVD because I saw and enjoyed the first "Blue Collar" movie. I thought Ron White and LarryTheCableGuy were the funniest of the 4 and wanted to see more of their acts. Larry's "GitRDone" DVD did not disappoint, but this one did unfortunately. He already did the funniest bits in the "Blue Collar" show. I honestly thought the rest of his material was a bit lame. I suppose his "trademark" cigarette and glass of (what is supposed to be) alcohol were very cool and with-it in the 80's. But in today's world it's downright unhealthy and makes him look lazy. The material and structure is typical stand-up... you know what I mean : topic, set-up, joke, joke, ... ehmmmm,yeah, so anyway....topic, set-up, joke, joke,... yeah,that's how it is,anyway.... topic,set-up, joke, joke,ect. As you can see I was irritated by this show, maybe I should have a cigarette and a drink and try to watch it again. Till then I'd rather watch Mr White in the BlueCollar show, and give this DVD a miss.

Movie Review: Funny, but not meant for the entire family.

After watching and LOVING the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, my family (which includes teenagers) wanted to collect the solo acts from these talented comedians. Unless I'm missing something, "Ron White - They Call Me Tater Salad", provides no rating guidelines. When I purchased this dvd for my family I made the assumption that it would be similar in tone to Ron's Blue Collar Comedy routines, which showcase his bad-boy image and are a bit off-color, but not overly so. Way wrong assumption! Much of this routine is repeated from the Blue Collar Comedy Tours, but with the addition of four-letter words and, at times, some explicit sexual language. So, if you are looking for adult comedy, you will more than likely love this dvd. If you have watched the Blue Collar Comedy shows and are hoping for some fresh material from Ron, you may be disappointed in this choice. Ultimately, if you are searching for something that is family-friendly, you may want to look elsewhere.

Movie Review: Made Me Laugh Out Loud!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Even when I find a comedian funny, very seldom to I actually laugh out loud. Ron White is hysterical, I laughed for most of this dvd, sometimes so hard it brought tears to my eyes.

After seeing this dvd, I bought it for my father who is extremely hard to buy gifts for, it's even harder to make him laugh.

Careful with children, the material and language is pretty raw but as an adult I did not feel that he took the language over the top.

My entire family are now Ron White fans. We can't wait for his next dvd!
