Movie Review: For all political junkies, preferably Democrats
Summary: 5 Stars
A set of three different documentaries centering around Bill Clinton's ascent to the presidency, this PBS production is absolutely beautifully done. There's a lot of in-your-face immediacy about the hysteria of a major presidential campaign, and I watched the whole series raptly. President Clinton's presidency was unfairly derailed by the moronic mob that were Congressional Republicans at that time, and I am certain that he will go down in history as a strong and good president. Certainly compared to the one America has foisted upon itself now.

ROAD TO THE PRESIDENCY is an unprecedented view of the 1992 Presidential election. Taking the viewer far more "inside" than The War Room, the three documentaries on this DVD present startlingly up-close views of Bill Clinton's path through the primaries, the Democratic convention, and the televised debates with President George H.W. Bush.
