Movie Review: A Western for Every Film Collection
Summary: 5 Stars

I am addicted to the films of Howard Hawks and this must be my favorite one of his films. It is difficult for me to articulate the attraction, but I have never tired of watching it. This is the film that is credited with saving Dean Martin's career, boosting the career of Angie Dickinson and just giving John Wayne another classic role. I particularly like the way the entire story is set up in the first 5 minutes of the film without any dialog. Hawks lets his camera do his talking. The movie could be characterized as an action film, but throughout the characters actually talk to each other. This is a movie that belongs in every collection, no matter your preferred genre.

A buddy Western in the most classic sense. John Wayne, Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson at their very best. Angie Dickinson was terrific in her supporting role. The story was believable and the scenery very good.
