Movie Review: Very moving
Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is deep. I'm not normally the type of person who weeps over tragic endings but the end of "Revenge" actually moved me so much that I cried. I really did expect the normal "happily ever" ending like in most movies. I found myself getting really emotionally involved. You can identify with the way the two main characters feel about each other even though they know that by falling in love they are betraying Tibby. Stowe and Cosner are superb I usually find Cosner as bit deadpan but he's excellent as Jay. Stowe's beauty and lovely tender brown eyes help add to the sad, tragic quality of the character she's portraying. People who find romances corny will still be able to watch the movie because there's alot more to it than "boy meets girl". If you are a hopeless romantic you'll enjoy the movie but get your tissues out first.Movie Review: Not for politically correct wimps

The reason (and I dare anyone to dispute me on this) that this movie did not receive more fanfare is because politically correct WIMPS refused to give it the attention it deserves. Due to the brutal way in which Quinn's character treats his wife upon learning of her infidelity, the politically correct critics and moviegoers alike simply did not want to be perceived, in their idiotic minds, as being pro-violence towards women. "If we say this is a good movie, then we would be saying that violence towards women must be good too, right?"
Lunacy.
But this IS a good movie and a good DVD: Great sound, excellent quality picture, well acted, interesting characters and great locations.
Movie Review: One of My All Time Favorites!

This movie has everything--love, violence and some fabulous secondary characters. The love story--two people who act on their lust knowing disaster must follow--creates incredible tension. And when disaster falls, Cosner's Jay goes on a quest, meeting some wonderfully colorful and flawed characters that teach him along the way. That Jay must face the man he wronged to find the woman he loves is classic hero's journey. And who doesn't love a tragic ending? This is one of the few cases when I thought the movie surpassed the book, a Jim Harrison novella in the case. This isn't a perfect film, but satifying on so many levels.Movie Review: An Undeniable Chemistry

A very close, very dear freind recomended this movie to me. I now know why.For me, and also for him this movie reaches a place deep within.I reccomend it for all to see because I think at some point in our lives we all know or should know, someone with whom we have a chemistry, another person that feelings cannot be denied for. And how sad for those who can't relate to such a beautiful love story. I suppose that for a person who has never found forbidden love and suffered the torments of knowing they can never truly be together they can't fully appreciate a movie of this magnitude.Movie Review: DVD

This is a movie that I love and unfortunately, could not remember the title of it for the longest time. When I realized what the title was, I immediately searched for it on Amazon and sure enough, they had it. REVENGE is a terrific movie--something that I will watch over and over. I AM romantic and like to believe that any man will go through anything for the woman he truly loves. I think a man would definitely like to sit and watch this movie with his girl just because it IS NOT a mushy-gushy movie but a movie with really strong characters and plot.
