Movie Review: Excellent Western Movie!
Summary: 5 Stars
I thought that after Lonesome Dove, no movie would get my attention especially if the original actors weren't in the sequel. After the first 5 minutes into watching Return To Lonesome Dove, I was riveted into the story, the characters, and the constant moving of the film. I rate this move 5 stars. All the actors did a wonderful job of telling another story from Larry McMurtry's moving saga of western days of the Texas Rangers.Movie Review: Return to Lonesome Dove, a great movie

I think this is one of the greatest films of all time. The scenery in it is fantastic and the actors are all wonderful. It is a wonderful story about two men taking a herd of cattle and horses from Texas to Montana and all the trials and troubles they run into on their way there. Anyone liking this type of movie would love to have it in their collection. It is deffinately a keeper to be watched over and over again.Movie Review: The archetype of TV western series

The DVDs were new and factory sealed as promised. They arrived promptly. Only Deadwood challenges these two western series - Lonesome Dove and Return to Lonesome Dove. The acting is superb and the story is inspiring. The production quality and resolution are surprisingly good for almost 6 hours of video on only 2 discs.Movie Review: Return to Lonesome Dove

I bought "Return to Lonesome Dove" for my husband for Valentine's Day. We watched it together and he commented that he thought if was as good or maybe better than "Lonesome Dove". My son watched it and said "When are they going to come out with the next one?" Excellent movie.

a friend of mine recently introduced me to return to lonesome dove. i don't care for westerns as a rule but i was completely captivated by it. voight and shroeder are both excellent. i haven't seen the other dvds in the seires but i certainly plan to.
