Comic book-like characters. Realistic settings. Also, a history of dragons from the realistic point of view. The effects were crazy-cool. It's all a matter of how badly do you wanna see action? This movie answers the 'I wanna see action really bad' thirst. Tough men, fighting wars with dragons, areial wars, flight wars, ground wars, underground wars, the whole package. This is an Awesome Sci-Fi flick that brings that old Fantasy favorite of Dragons back again. In Reign of Fire Matthew McConaughey plays an American Dragonslayer that has come to England hunting a Male Dragon. It is set years after the dragon was discovered and is a last desperate stand against a seemingly unconquerable foe. The director has put together a special effects masterpiece.Movie Review: the best movie of all time.

This is a good movie if you like action and adventure. It's not one of those "fantasy" movies in some fictitious D&D kingdom with magicians, fairies, trolls and other stuff.
This movie takes place in modern day England and is more typical of classic monster movies like Jurassic Park, King Kong, Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, et cetera.
Well worth the watch.

This is the Greatest Film EVER made! The acting spectacular, the cast superb, and the directing unbelievable. The special effects are amazing too. Why this did not win an oscar, I shall never know. Definately buy this film if you're into action and adventure. If you liked the Wedding Planner, don't buy it because Matthew's character is not a loving pediatrician. Enjoy.
