Movie Review: Suburbia with a twist
Summary: 5 Stars
At long last the hit TV series REBA hits DVD as have countless other TV shows. This hit WB comedy is finally on DVD in it's first season, with all of the episodes, cast commentary and bloopers. I remember when I heard Reba McEntire would be starring in her own sitcom, it didn't sound funny. On paper I guess it wouldn't. The cast though brings it to life and makes it funny. Reba McEntire stars as Reba Hart, a divorced woman who's life has been turned upside down. Not only has her husband left her for another woman, she has to deal with the fact that her teenage daughter is pregnant. Not to mention her ex-husband's new wife is also pregnant, and constantly interfering in her life. Somehow she has to keep it together and try to make the situation work, but not without hilarity and antics along the way. The cast is really good on this show and the writing is crisp and funny.Movie Review: In a word... CHARMING

I've been in love with this show since I first viewed it at the beginning of the year. The likability of the characters, the tolerant and non-traditional approach to realistic modern problems (such as divorce and teen pregnancy), and the lack of anorexia and overused pop psychology are only a few of the positive aspects. In other words, the HUMANITY of the show is its magic wand.
Those who have enjoyed the show for a while now will enjoy seeing the actors getting to know their characters. Reba's spirit and high-energy in the face of trial and tribulation are both contagious and endearing. Anyone who views this show will undoubtedly wish they were a part of this family. I know I do.
I will say this though... I like Barbara-Jean much more now than I did back then.
Movie Review: Great Comedy for the Whole Family

Reba is well worth the money. It is a show that the entire family can watch and enjoy together. Viewers also enjoy laughs throughout the whole show. The show covers topics such as teen pregnancy, cheating, and divorce. although viewers might not be able to relate to all of these subjects, most can relate to atleast one. The viewer watches the Hart family cope with these issues through the love of family and forgiveness. Like McEntire's music, this show offers hope and enlightenment for real-life people in real-life situations. It also offers moral wisdom. It is a show for anyone who needs a good laugh and comfort in knowing that although times may seem hard now, they will get better if you let them.Movie Review: Best TV show to come along in ages

I have seasons 1-4 on DVD; they haven't yet produced seasons 5 & 6 and I've heard there are no plans to do so. That is a shame because this is the funniest, most entertaining television show to come along in decades.
The characters are so loveable and each one is hilarious in his/her own way. Many hours of fun, family entertainment.
I never liked Reba McEntire because I couldn't stand her voice, but after seeing her in "Reba", she is so very likeable and has become my favorite actress. She's so quirky and delightful. Barbara Jean and Van are my fave characters. I can watch these DVDs over and over, plus watch the reruns on the CW, and never tire of the show.

From the first scene of the pilot to the touching lullaby in the season finale this show is amazing! First of all Reba McEntire was made for comedy. She has been dubbed the new Lucille Ball and for good reason. She shines along with a teriffic supporting cast. "Reba" has it all; the ex-husband and mistress, the pregnant and married teenage daughter and son-in-law, and the two sarcastic younger children and of course Reba who holds this modern family together! This is the first sitcom that shows this side of the American family and finally gives the children of the blended family something to relate to. I applaud The WB and the cast of "Reba" for making such amazing work!
