Movie Review: The Highest of High Camp
Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent gross effects. Over the top story and acting. Anyone who even remotely likes zombie/slasher films has to see this. There is at least one moment that is as cinematically significant as the final scene of Pink Flamingos. The Lovecraft purists will have a problem with the deviations from the original book. But the film is so good and so much fun that you have to give it a shot. And the Anchor Bay release has good features. The added bonuses included with this version of Re-Animator are worth the price of admission! The 70 plus documentary "Re-Animator Ressurectus" was excellently put together and includes almost entirely new never before seen shots of storyboards, behind the scenes stills and of course interviews with nearly the entire team that made this film.
I can state that this is the real deal! I'm part of that team and this is the first look back at Re-Animator that got it right!
Movie Review: Recipe for insanity
Summary: 5 Stars
1. Marinate 2lbs. of your intellect in blood gravy.
2. Preheat your gore expectations at 475 degrees.
3. Put your logic through the cheese grater.
4. In a large vat, mix 2 cups of brains, 5 Tbl. of skull, 4 oz. of eyeballs, and 69 gallons of blood. Bring to boil.
5. Add 10-12 severed limbs. Simmer until brown.
6. Bake for 1.5 hours.
7. Garnish with gratuitous nudity.
8. Inject life serum. Enjoy.

I compared the special features in this release with the one released by Elite (millennium edition). Most of them are the same. The only real notable difference is that this one has a new 70 minute documentary. I'm sure that's worth the effort of rebuying another 2-disc set. If you have the Elite version, you may want to pass on this.Movie Review: It is a Classic

Before horror movies did CGI, there was Re-Animator. It has everything a good Friday night Horror flick could want. It is in every Top 5 Zombie movie list for a good reason. If you enjoyed Brain Dead (AKA Dead Alive), you'll really enjoy this.
