Movie Review: Oh yeah - now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a GREAT action movie and a thoroughly awesome example of a Blu-Ray presentation. The technical aspects of the battle scenes rival those in 'Saving Private Ryan' -- and, perhaps, even raise the bar. And who better to turn Rambo loose upon than those creeps running the military dictatorship in Myanmar (Burma). No one deserves a giant-size can of whoop-a$$ opened up on them more than these thugs!
I was so glad that, after loving the first 'Rambo' movie (First Blood), and being wholly disappointed with #s 2&3, that 'Rambo' is back...way back...to the wall...HOME RUN! Right on, bubba!
Movie Review: Super Entertainment!

To keep it short, this movie has a great story. It's also absorbing and realistic, with up to date special effects. There is also good character development. The movie kept me on the edge of my seat. Some movie critics may not like Stallone, however, I think he plays these "action" roles very very well. He doesn't have to use a lot of words, because the few words he uses are meaningful, powerful, and pertinent to the movie. I am confident you will enjoy the movie, like I did! I just finished watching the blu ray, and I can't decide if this installment tops First Blood. I think First Blood is by far the best out of the original trilogy. Rambo 4 is an excellent action movie. It's just as smart as First Blood, and the violence depicted is very realistic. It's not for the squeamish. The R-rated action movie is finally back. No pussyfooting around the way Die Hard 4 did.
Highly recommended if you love action movies, and a must for old time Rambo fans.
Movie Review: SYLVESTER STALLONE IS A TRUE LEGEND

I have seen 2008 (RAMBO) in theatre 5 times. The movie was amazingly entertaining but whats more important is that it opend my eyes on an issue that I was totally unaware of. So it provided entertainment but also turns the light on an issue that many people have no idea about (BURMA). So I have to say that I trully admire and respect Sylvester Stallone for making RAMBO and going through all what he had to go through in order to bring this movie to the screen.

Rambo is the best movie of 2008. Pure action from start to finish. It IS violent but Stallone wanted to show the violence that the Burmese people face daily. And, contrary to some other reviews, the name Burma is still used even though the country is now officially called Myanmar. Why using the name of Burma would make this a poor film is beyond me. If you want to see a great action movie that, while pure fiction, happens to be based on reality then this is the movie for you.
