Movie Reviews of RUSH: Snakes & Arrows LiveMovie Review: Superb! Summary: 5 Stars
Great set list, super camera work and perfect sound. I really don't know how they could of done any better with this other than the digipack it comes in. This is the best concert DVD I have seen or heard to this day. There also is some real funny bits sprinkled all over this baby that had my wife and I laughing throughout the show. This is not a greatest hits package but an awesome compliment to the two previous live Rush DVD's. The Snakes and Arrows material is some of their very best and goes over well live. A must have for any die hard or casual Rush fan.
Movie Review: Awesome from beginning to end Summary: 5 Stars
As an owner of Show of Hands, Rush in RIO, and R30, the BD version of this concert is incredible. While the concert itself was the reason for purchasing this DVD, I thought the introduction videos & "what's that smell" videos etc. were hilarious. If Alex ever quits his day job, he would do very well in comedy. The outtakes are so funny, my kids even laugh out loud. If you are a fan of Rush, I promise you that this is the best quality DVD ever made by the band and the sound is awesome. You will be impressed.
Movie Review: The best Rush concert DVD or video ever!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is by far Rush's best concert DVD.
The picture is clear and sharp and the sound quality is outstanding.
I saw them twice on this 2007-2008 tour and this captures the band just as I saw them.
For me or any Rush fan it will be a great momento for years to come as a reminder of how great these shows were.
If your a Rush fans, or just a fan of great rock music done by one of rock's most talented, and underated bands (by the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame) get this disc!
It's awesome!
Movie Review: five star dvd Summary: 5 Stars
I collect a lot of live concert dvd's and this is one of the best, even if I wasn't a huge Rush fan and just a fan of rock and roll, I'd probably like this disc.. shot differently than previous Rush DVD's like Rio and R30, there are a lot of closeups of the musicians hands which would enable most aspiring musicians to learn a few of the songs, being a guitar player myself, I was awakened to a few things I didn't know about like which key they were in and what scale the solo was in,,,,love this disc,
Movie Review: Great concert! Summary: 5 Stars
Here is another great concert from, in my opinion, one of the most talented bands around. If you haven't seen them before, this is a great dvd. As good as it is though, I would say the R30 dvd is the one to get to get a feel for their whole catalog of music. I went to this tour and was a little let down by their playing too much off of the new album. (Which some bands are doing these days). But it's Rush, and I HAD to see them because they might not come around again...you never know!
