People will notice before you do that your body is toner! If you've never done Callanetics, you'll be using muscles you might not have ever used before so it hurts!!!! But keep it up, you will tighten and tone in an amazingly short time...and I'm talking with each session you will literally become tighter,firmer, you'll move differently. It's amazing! If other types of exercise don't work/motive you, definetly try Callanetics. I think you'll love the results

Movie Review: Poor video quality Summary: 1 StarsI purchased this product to benefit from dvd technology. The reviews on the website led me to believe that this product was somehow updated, or upgraded for use with dvd technology. Last winter, I ordered the video, which is is like a pirated version, with very low resolution. If I could, I would return the two dvds I purchased. I feel ripped off and stuck with an inferior product.
I love callanetics content. Amazon should be urging this company to provide new material. It's no help to see a sticker on the dvd I purchased announcing new products in Dec. 2006, which is when I purchased two inferior Callanetics dvds.
Movie Review: Help for the Hopeless Summary: 5 StarsThis is my first ever review on amazon. I never felt particularly motivated to write reviews, but I decided it was time I start, because my praise for this DVD is long overdue.
Being pear-shaped and short (5'3"), it seems that I have struggled forever with thick, chubby thighs. A year and a half ago I began walking, per request of my doctor. I did lose some weight and my legs got a little leaner, but they were still large and looked out of balance compared to the rest of my body. I joined an aerobics class and lost even more weight, but to the detriment of both of my knees. That didn't last long before I had to stop--out of necessity. I then tried Pilates, which did help tone, but I found it very diffucult.
A friend of mine has a daughter who is into ballet, and her ballet instructor constantly praises Callanetics for shaping, toning, and strengthening. After hearing so much about it, I ordered the legs DVD, and felt a difference after the very first workout. The exercises are soft and gentle, which I particularly liked, though I could not complete all the repetitions at first.
Five months have passed since I started and I can say with complete honesty that I look like I'm 20 years younger. I have dropped 4 jean sizes (without dieting), and my legs are the tightest they've been since I was in my teens.
I can't express enough my thankfulness for this wonderful life-changing program.
