I have all 5 seasons and to the lack of a better word, I have to say it is brilliant. It really attracts my attention the way in which the general atmosphere changes from season one to season five as the political scene changes in the USA, from Clinton to Bush. Complete success, very very good. A 'must' we should all (gay or straight) have at home. A lesson on how a good TV-Show should be done. Congratulations!!!!Movie Review: Great End To A Great Series

Ive been a fan of the show since purchasing the first season on DVD (as in the UK it wasnt shown), I have to say this is one of the best seasons and a really nice ending to the show.
Have to say the shocker of an episode towards the end of the season was unexpected but was a great way to show how even in this day and age we may feel we have come so far but there are always people who hate!
Its a great final chapter and by the end of the season all the characters seem to have come full circle.
Loved this season and it is a must own for people who have enjoyed the rest of the series

it was well worth the hundreds of dollars I spent on it, and far more enjoyable than all other gay DVDs I've bought to-date combined. But though I accept and respect the 'cutting edge' approach this series presents itself as, it goes just a little too far, blatantly so, in its overly emphasized and very gratuitous display of public sex and drug use - leaving one to question the the exaggerated message this sent to the heterosexual majority who may have watched it. Thankfully this was its only weakness in what is otherwise a very creative, courageous and expertly crafted view of prevailing gay life.Movie Review: Interesting end to a GREAT show!

Queer as folk was ground breaking in the U.S. I only got to see through the midpoint of season 3 while it was airing. This season summarizes the series and loops it back again. After watching the shows I am a HUGE [...] as folk fan. It had interesting characters and an addicting storyline. I wish they would do a movie or something to continue the stories of the characters. This season has VERY climatic events that occur. It blew me away. Rosie O'Donnell and Cyndi Lauper were great guest stars this season. I love the way the show ended, but it was definately surprising. I recommend this to anyone who is a fan or even had a passing interest in the show.
