Movie Review: The Best Yet!

I have yet to buy a live Queen DVD that wasn't well worth the money spent, then again I haven't seen all the DVD's that are available. "On Fire at the Bowl" is simply a great show, Freddy sings with a voice that is fresh and unfatigued, unlike some other concerts where it's apparent that touring for long periods was very hard on his exceptionally awesome vocal chords. If it's possible, Freddy brings even more energy to this show, albeit he had plenty of energy in the other concerts as well. The "On Fire at the Bowl" incarnation of "Somebody to Love" at 7 min. 53 seconds, plays nearly 3 minutes longer than the original recording released on November 12 1976, on "A Day at the Races" and is absolutely fabulous. "On Fire at the Bowl" was recorded on June 5th 1982 at the Milton Keynes Bowl in Milton Keynes, England. I was fortunate enough to see the same Queen show when they played in my hometown of Portland, Oregon on September 2nd of the same year.
All in all, this DVD brought smiles to my face and allowed me to relive some of the memories that will last for a lifetime. Whether you're a Queen fan or not, this show will not disappoint. I give this DVD my highest praise and a full recommendation as one of, if not the best Queen live recordings that you and I will ever be fortunate enough to see.
