Movie Reviews of Quantum of Solace

Movie Review: Excellent Continuation To Casino Royale
Summary: 5 Stars

This feature in the series of the extraordinary creation by Ian Fleming is nothing less than a great advancement in cementing the future in both the hearts and culture of this next generation. As the official review in Amazon states, this movie is great continuation of Casino Royale. It is foolish to attempt to understand and appreciate Quantum of Solace without placing it in the proper context of the Bond series.

Quantum of Solace allows the viewer to develop an intimate relationship with the character, building on past experiences from Monte Carlo, and preparing the viewer for the true unveiling of James Bond when his character fully matures. These two initial chapters in the Daniel Craig epoch have been a delightful introduction into what is becoming the 21st century standard for Bond.

FIVE STARS

Movie Review: Underrated Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great sequel to Casino Royal and very well written. I really like the new direction that they have taken with James Bond by creating a more complex and dramatic character in a continuous story line, instead of a new flavor of year evil bad guy hell bent on world domination in every film. I had to watch the movie twice to really understand what was going on and appreciate it. The first time I watched it, I though it was pretty boring and it was difficult to follow. But after watching Casino Royal again and then watching this movie for a second time really made me realize just how fantastic and well done it really is.

I hope they make a third film in the near future and don't listen to all the garbage about it needing more mindless action and a thin story line.

Movie Review: Superb Bond
Summary: 5 Stars

This was not classic Bond it was better. The persona that Daniel Creg brings to the bond character makes James Bond more believable and more accessible.

This Bond knows his job and that's all that counts. Of course there is a bit of vengance mixed in with his pursuit of the Bad Guys, but saving crown and country are upper most on his agenda.

If a few Bad Guys die along the way, so what they were causing problems anyway. If Bond has to go off the reservation to accomplish his mission; then he gets a little Mavericky, the best M can do is hang on for the ride. But she also knows that James will get results, and in the world of super spies that's all that counts.

Award worthy entertainment, a must watch film of the highest caliber.

Movie Review: the softer side of bond
Summary: 5 Stars

This is by far my favorite bond yet.

Not only is Daniel Craig a delicious specimen for our female viewers' enjoyment;
We finally get to see a softer side of the otherwise jaded misogynist stereotype that decades of 007 has portrayed.

This Bond appears to genuinely LIKE women in these films and isn't afraid to show his "sensitive" side.

This is a sequel to Casino Royal, where our hero falls in love (spoiler alert) and his motives are now fueled by revenge.
Daniel Craig is a refreshing change from Pierce (yuk) with his smarmy quips and cocky attitude. This bond had a Human quality.
aaaahhh... sit back and enjoy!

Movie Review: Craig is second only to Connery...
Summary: 5 Stars

I loved Casino Royale and I like Quantum of Solace a lot. I saw all the Sean Connery Bond movies at the theater and I own all of the Bond movies on DVD. While Connery will never be surpassed because he originated the role and his movies had a realistic sense of danger, Daniel Craig and Pierce Bosnan are both excellent Bonds. The Bond franchise almost died during the awful Roger Moore years when silly gadgets and a well-coiffed smirk replaced the original sense of realistic action drama with a twitch of humor.

Everyone seems to have a strong opinion about Daniel Craig. I'm looking forward to his next Bond movie...
