Movie Reviews of Psycho II

Movie Review: A great sequel
Summary: 4 Stars

"Psycho II" has a lot to live up to after the first film was hugely successful. Also, since Alfred Hitchcock did not believe in making sequels, that was another strike against this film. However, director Richard Franklin does a great job of continuing the story.

After 22 years of being in confinement, the courts release Norman Bates (Perkins) on the account that he is legally sane. Once he goes back home, he gets a job working at a dinner. While he was working, he sees a note from "mother". At first we think that Norman is just having flashbacks. However, as he also starts to get phone calls from "mother" you start to think he is going back to insane.
During all of this, Marion Crane's sister Lila Loomis believes strongly that Norman Bates is still insane.

"Psycho II" is a very good sequel to the classic original. Once again Anthony Perkins does an excellent job at playing Norman Bates.

Movie Review: It's Happening.....Again!
Summary: 4 Stars

Anthony Perkins is the quintessential Norman Bates.

The movie differs greatly from the book. So, if you've read Psysho II the novel by Robert Bloch, the movie is totally, and I mean totally, different. Personally, I think it would be great to see another movie mimic the book as Hitchcock did with the original Psycho, but with Anthony Perkins gone, why bother.

The movie is well-filmed and it is interesting to see the Psycho house and, for that matter, Norman in color. Norman has returned home and taken charge once again of the Bates Motel. It is only a matter of hours it seems before 'mother' begins to bother him again. It starts off a little slow, but quickly builds, just as the body count does.

Vera Miles reprises her role and Meg Tilly gives us an added bonus feature during the shower scene. This makes up for no bonus features on the DVD, besides the trailer that is.

Movie Review: Why mother? why do i have to kill her? !mother!
Summary: 4 Stars

Anthony Perkins returns as Norman Bates in this great sequel to the classic PSYCHO. How can you top the original? you cant, but you can reach very closely to do it,PSYCHO II does that.

Norman, has been declared sane and is free to go to his motel,Lila Crane doesnt like the idea of Norman being free, so she makes an evil plan to make him go nuts again..
Norman begins to recieve calls from "mother" and written notes.
Lila( who later gets killed by mother) uses her doughter to make Norman fall in love with her.The result of this mess and many other twists make an imprresive climax!

Movie Review: WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!? THEY LET NORMAN OUT!
Summary: 4 Stars

A very nice surprise of a sequel! Perkins is back in the role he will be forever associated with! The story begins with him being released from the mental hospital and going back to the original house and motel where he had his "trouble"! Vera Miles is back too and helps this sequel work. I bought the new triple feature on 2 discs set and that is what I am reviewing this film from. If your a fan of the original you should like this sequel as there is a fair amount of mystery and suspense in this entry, just a little more graffic!....well it's the 80's! The DVD transfer looked very good.

Movie Review: Anthony Perkins make sit work. Film very suspensful.
Summary: 4 Stars

Psycho is a classic and no film can measure up to it in the slasher dept not even Halloween, This sequel has Norman bATES being released from prison after 22 years. he has ben brain washed of all his memories.
