Movie Reviews of Prison Break: Season TwoMovie Review: How did such a simple concept evolve into such a story-line??? Summary: 5 Stars
It seemed as though season one was 90% planning the escape and 10% dealing with things that "popped up." Season two seems to me to be a bit more like 40% planning, if not less. Everything that Scofield, Linc, Sarah, and all of the fugitives attempt to do (disappear...) seems to catch a snag one way or the other. Typical.
In this season, we see just how twisted the conspiricy regarding the alleged murder of the President's brother really is; as well as how far those involved are willing to go in order to ensure everything goes the way they planned.
Character developments continue to grow exponentially throughout the many captivating episodes. One might find themselves in such a 'frenzy' that they may continue watching until the finale (I know I was more than half tempted).
By the end of this season, we realize that although many and more questions we had last season have been answered; twice as many have now been thrown in our faces. It seems to be a "love-hate" relationship: We all hate the fact that we love this series so much that we get so upset at being "left in the dark" at the end.
As confident as I was at the end of the season last year, I'm sure Fox won't disappoint in the long-awaited Season 3. Heck, it's the whole reason I splurged on the extra charge for the DVR from my cable company!!!
Movie Review: CAN'T SIT STILL WATCHING THIS! Summary: 5 Stars
I watched Season One on DVD based on what friends had said about the show. I wasn't disappointed. I waited until recently for Season Two to come out on DVD and what a blast! I couldn't sit still. The story has gotten more in-depth and far more exciting this time around, although it's hard to imagine that being the case if you've watched the first season. The change of scenery is welcome and adds a "Fuguitive" feel to the entire show, which I absolutely love. The twists and turns come at you constantly, and I'm in awe of people who can conjure up such an amazing storyline. The acting is superb and the characters are so real, I feel I know each of them personally and find myself thinking about them from time to time as one would a friend or family member. Sad, I know, but there you have it. Even more, it was wonderful to see the long-awaited romance between Michael and Sara kick off - I actually cried. What I love about the show is that it's tastefully done, considering the subject matter, and doesn't come at you like HBO's OZ did with all the language and nudity, so it broadens the number of people who can watch and enjoy it, like my parents. Keep it coming! This show's a winner!
Movie Review: just as exciting as season 1, only with a change of scenery Summary: 5 Stars
I know the opinions about season 2 will be more mixed than season 1, but I personally believe that season 2 is just as exciting as 1. The only difference is that there's a change of scenery and a focus on some different characters. But I still find Prison Break to be one of the best shows on tv right now and just as compelling and heart-pounding as ever! Prison Break still manages to be intriguing, simple enough to follow, with great characters people really care about. In particular, Paul Adelstein (who plays Agent Kellerman) does a really fabulous job this season, whereas last season he was more of a minor character. And unlike Lost, this show actually manages to answer questions and move the plot along. This season has also held steady in the ratings unlike some other shows, which must mean that it's doing something right. As always, the biggest weakness is that it's as ludicrous as it was first season, but this is fiction. If I wanted reality, I'd watch a documentary. And I don't think it's really any more unrealistic than any other action drama on tv today. I give this season 5 stars and can't wait to see what the writers will cook up for season 3.
Movie Review: Prison Break Season 2 is just as good as Season 1 Summary: 5 Stars
The second season of Prison Break continues to stack up the deck intruigingly well with its previous season with more action, more answers, and of course, more shocking casualties within the conspiracies behind the whole set-up centering Lincoln Burrows. Although the storyline splits up in like eight different directions ranging from Sucre's desire to reunite with his girl Maricruz, Officer Bellick on the run after the cons for the reward money, Abruzzi's long-term plan to finish off what he started, C-Note's determination to reunite with his family, T-Bag's affection to hunt down his loved ones and many more, the overall story gets to the point regardless of these minor side plots that come along the way. A new face enters the scene of the starting second season premiere featuring FBI Agent Alex Mahone, who cunningly knows every step of the way of how Michael Schofield is thinking to do next while on the run with his brother Lincoln. This season is fast paced with more drama and explosive action and justice will be served nearing the end of the second season to see who survives and make ends meet. Can't miss it!
Movie Review: This Show is Like A Drug Summary: 5 Stars
I never watched this show on TV. I had heard about it but I couldn't add one more to my queue. Then the show ended after season 5, my shows went on hiatus for the summer, and I wanted a show to watch. I have to say, I'm not only glad I picked this show, I'm glad I actually waited until now. I blew through the first season real fast and thought maybe I'd take a break, except that didn't happen because of the nice cliffhanger at the end so immediately in went season 2.
Like I said in the title, this show is like a drug. I blew through season 2 faster than the first season. They're out, they're on the run, the Fox River Eight. T-Bag is the villain you love to hate. Scofield is still the modern day MacGuyver. Sucre gets far more interesting. Burrows really is able to reveal his bad-@$$ nature, and the plot continues to thicken with "The Company". I'll warn you, you're not going to want to stop here, you might want to just get the entire collection and take a vacation so you can watch it all.
