Movie Review: Emotionally Satyristic Movie, Very Good.
Summary: 4 Stars
My wife and I, really enjoyed the DVD version. John Travolta (excellent actor) has the demeanor of an "antisocial" and very good politician. The character of the campaign director is the "Super-Ego" of the family. Emma Thompson is a very hard woman, strong and confident. I loved the intervention of Maura Tierney, she is a very supportive woman in this movie as well as in "Liar Liar". I believe that women like her are very hard to find. The movie has more expressed emotions than the average movie. Not recommended for children under 17 years, nor over 74 years.Movie Review: The role for Travolta was born to play.

The plot:Jack Stanton(Travolta) is a unknown southern governor, who`s is running for President of the United States with his strong equally ambitious wife, Susan(Emman Thompson). Running against the odds, The Stantons need all help they get from thier extremely colorful political team. Great performances by Travolta, Thompson and Adrian Lester(Who`s is Superb as Travolta`s adviser). DVD`s has great anamorphic widescreen transer(2.35:1) and Good Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. Grade:A-. Panavision.
Movie Review: Staton or Clinton

Travolta does an excellent job of portraying Presidential hopeful Gov Staton which has a very close reality to Clinton in both background and styles. This is a comedy/drama about the campaign trail to the president for a little known southern Governor and all the challenges both in a typical campaign as well as his own (womanizing). All of the acting was very good and the story line was multidimensional, don't be surprised if you have to watch it a couple of times to pick everything up.Movie Review: Need help!

Really entertaining movie. Too much bad language, but unfortunately, it's hard to get away from that these days. I tend to believe this is one of the truest representations of how our politcal system really works. Acting is stellar!
