Movie Review: NOT SO FINE
Summary: 3 Stars
Gritty but muddled corrupt cop opus. The script is rather heavy handed and the climactic fistfight and ending just come across totally unrealistic. Its strongest assets are its powerful acting: Edward Norton's idealistic Ray; Colin Farrell's loutish Jimmy; Jon Voight's ironhanded Francis; Noah Emmerich's conflicted Franny; Jennifer Ehle's cancer-stricken wife; and Frank Grillo and Shea Wigham as the corrupt cops.
The movie has some tense moments but ultimately doesn't meet expectations.

Pride & Glory could've been so much better. The script seems to telegraph everything that we've seen in cops-turned-bad movies. More twists and suspense could have made this an edgier tale. Maybe if Scorcese had directed it. As it is, it's by-the-numbers cop themed thriller, a genre that needs revitalising. My partner watched it and loved Edward Norton so that could be a reason to watch for you. Otherwise, I wouldn't really bother.Movie Review: Some Good Elements, But Lacking In So Many Ways!!

I would say that this movie is a renter, not a keeper.
There were a lot of good elements to the story, and god
knows they cast some good actors, but they must've made
a wrong turn somewhere in the writing or in the direction
and it just gets drowned. I lost interest about halfway through
and just didn't care by the end!

this move had a good idea but it left me wanting more.
the ending killed the entire movie for me and i just think they could have wrapped up things a little better. i would have rated this moive higher but some of the plot was just to far out there.
in the end i did like the action though

Way, Way, Way too much cussing. I got so sick and tired of the "f" word. I don't think that they were able to complete a full sentence without saying that word over and over and over. Like I said ...way too much cussing. The movie had a great storyline and exceptional actors.
