Movie Review: Wonderful DVD!

I love this DVD! As a yoga practitioner for over 15 years, I've been looking for a good challenging yoga DVD to keep me feeling in shape during my pregnancy. I often find prenatal yoga dvd's to be too slow and easy for my taste. I really wanted something that would make me feel like I was actually "working out" and not just stretching and relaxing. There are some great ones out there that I own for that purpose, but I've been looking for an ashtanga flow practice that would be tailored to my pregnant body's needs and this is it. This is my second pregnancy, and I am 5 months along. I'm starting to feel a lot more aches and pains this time around, especially aching hips and lower back. I find that on the days I do this DVD, I don't have that tightness and achy feeling and I just feel so good afterwards. The production value is good, the routine well designed and easy to understand as she guides you through. Also, the instructor's voice is really soothing, especially during the relaxation at the end. My only gripe is that it's a bit long (especially if you do the whole relaxation part after the workout). As the mother of a toddler, I find it difficult to find the time to do the whole thing on a regular basis, but I've decided I need to find a way, because it's making my pregnancy so much better. I also feel like it will make my delivery easier, as it prepares my body for the big day, with lots of squats and moves that really feel like they are strengthening the parts that need it for labor and delivery. This was a great purchase, and money well spent...I highly recommend it. I also did Dr.Christine Anderson's Dynamic Prenatal Yoga DVD during my first pregnancy and I love that one as well, but in my opinion, this one is even better, especially if you like the flowing sequence of ashtanga. This is a real gem.
