Movie Review: What A Movie!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is one of the most captivating stories I have had the pleasure of watching. It allows you to go to another world, if only for a short time, where anything is possible. A person can relate to the characters as well, which offer a refreshing look at what magic is or can be, what life would be like with those "special" powers, and how fun it could actually be to be a "witch". I have personally watched this movie about 20 times, and to tell you the truth, it never gets old! Allow yourself the indulgence to "go away" for a bit, and enjoy this movie!Movie Review: Great movie!

What a wonderful movie! Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman shine in this funny movie that is also somewhat touching at the same time. Bullock plays Sally, and Kidman plays Gillian, they are sisters who are also witches. Their family has been doomed with a curse: the men the women fall in love with are doomed to an untimely death. Sally helps out Gillian when her boyfriend becomes abusive. Sally ends up killing him, and they use witchcraft to cover the crime. The movie has a great supporting cast, and a good script, making for an overall enjoyable movie.Movie Review: Great movie, great actresses, wonderful story

I read the book this movie was based on several years ago and totally loved it so I was really excited to see they had made a movie out of it, and like the icing on the cake, featuring one of my favorite actresses, Sandra Bullock!This movie is sort of a love commedy, very unusual though. One of the things I liked best about his movie is the viewpoint that you should not judge things without knowing them and that you should not judge people because they don't have your same religious beliefs. It will amuse you, touch you and make you think.

"Practical Magic" is a film you'll be glad you purchased for your video library. Sandra Bullock plays a relunctant witch who does not want to use her magical abilities, while her sister, played by Nichole Kiddman, is the wild and crazy sister getting into all kinds of trouble. Throw in two old witch aunts, a long standing family curse, a ghost out for revenge, and the town's predjuces to witches, the outcome is an enjoyable fantasy you'll watch again and again.

I cannot wait to own this movie which I saw three times while it was in the theatres. Despite much of the negative press from the critics I still found this film highly entertaining, thanks largely to a great cast and excellent cinematography. I absolutely love the house and the costumes which made watching this movie a double treat....it's like seeing a good movie and going through a great style magazine at the same time. Having it on DVD should be a treat. Oh, and the soundtrack is excellent also.
