Movie Review: Powerpuff Girls Christmas Special
Summary: 5 Stars
Over the holidays, Cartoon Network broadcast many of its holiday-themed fare. Among the entries, were the Powerpuff Girls. The writing for this episode was particularly good. I liked the fact that Princess didn't know that the coal that found its way into her stockings, year after year, was Santa's way of telling Princess that she was naughty.
Just when you think that Princess couldn't be any worse, she goes the extra mile. Princess' condecending "Santa-clod" speech was particularly shocking, but, Santa handles the situation very well.
There aren't very many extras on the DVD. Overall, though, I'm very pleased with the feature.
Summary of Powerpuff Girls - Twas the Fight Before Christmas
It's Christmastime in Townsville, and the Powerpuff Girls are soooo excited to see what Santa brought them! So imagine their surprise when they discover their Christmas stockings are full of.........coal!. Can this BE? There must be some horrible mistake! There is. And her name is Princess! Her fiendishly foul plot: to trick Santa into turning her into the fourth Powerpuff Girl! (And, in the process, make him believe the Powerpuffs have been very, very naughty!). Now, Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup must explode into a Yuletide tornado of bad-girl-thwarting action to put Princess in her place --- and keep Christmas from disappearing forever!DVD Features:
